Jerry Usher
Founder & President, Third Millennium Media
Jerry Usher is the founder and president of Third Millennium Media. A veteran of radio since 1980, he has held virtually every position imaginable in both secular and Catholic broadcasting. These include DJ, newscaster, sports play-by-play announcer, program director and more. God led Jerry to transition into Catholic radio in 1996, when he became the program director for Catholic Broadcasting Northwest. Shortly after that, he felt called to move south to California, where he assisted the Lay Catholic Broadcasting Network in the spread of Catholic radio around the country. LCBN hosted the first three national Catholic radio conferences, and attendees from those initial gatherings have gone on to put dozens of Catholic radio stations on the air. Jerry joined Immaculate Heart Radio in 1997, helping them launch their flagship station, KIHM in Reno. From there, Jerry was hired by Catholic Answers to create and host the award-winning “Catholic Answers Live,” which remains one of the most popular programs on Catholic radio. As more and more stations and networks began to request that Jerry host their on-air pledge drives, it became clear that he had to choose between hosting CA Live and helping the stations with their fundraising. Jerry hosted the program until the Lord led him to run Third Millennium Media full-time starting in 2009.
